How Can Psychotherapy Benefit You?
At The AM to PM Wellbeing Service, we understand that navigating life's challenges can be overwhelming. Our trained psychotherapists provide a compassionate and confidential space where you can freely express your feelings and gain valuable insights into the issues you face. This safe environment allows you to explore thoughts and emotions that you might not feel comfortable discussing with anyone else.
Through our psychotherapy sessions, you will learn how to better cope with life's pressures and discover effective strategies to shift your thinking and behavior. Our goal is to empower you in your journey toward improved mental and emotional well-being, helping you cultivate resilience and a greater sense of balance in your everyday life.
While most sessions are conducted one-on-one to ensure personalized attention, our therapists are also trained in systemic approaches. This means we can facilitate therapy with partners, family members, or even in group settings when appropriate. Additionally, we have dedicated Child Psychotherapists who specialize in working with adolescents and children, offering tailored support to our younger clients.

How Many Sessions Will I Have?
At The AM to PM Wellbeing Service, we recognize that every individual’s journey is unique. Psychotherapy can be both a short-term or long-term commitment, tailored specifically to your needs and goals. The number of sessions you engage in will depend on various factors, including your personal aspirations, the nature of the issues you wish to address, and the therapeutic approach that resonates best with you.
While many clients find value in exploring their concerns over at least six sessions, some therapeutic journeys may extend for several years. Our experienced therapists will work closely with you to establish a plan that feels right for you and adjust it as necessary along the way.
We’re here to support you in your healing process, no matter how long it takes. Let’s embark on this transformative journey together, and discover the path that leads to your wellbeing.

Household Support Service
We all experience stress, but defining it can be challenging. When we say things like “this is stressful” or “I’m stressed,” we may be referring to various factors:
- Situations or events that create pressure, such as overwhelming responsibilities or a lack of control over circumstances.
- Our emotional responses to challenging situations, particularly when faced with demands that feel difficult to manage.
If you’re finding it hard to keep up with daily household chores and tasks, our Household Support Service is here to help. Our skilled and compassionate Help and Wellbeing Assistants provide reliable support for a variety of tasks, including cleaning, cooking, shopping, childcare, and more. Our goal is to lighten your load and reduce your stress, while ultimately empowering you to regain independence in managing your household. We’re dedicated to supporting you in creating a more balanced and manageable home life.

Befriending Service
Loneliness is a common experience that affects us all at times, and it can manifest in unique ways for each individual. While experiencing loneliness is not classified as a mental health issue in itself, it can significantly contribute to the development of mental health conditions. Conversely, having a mental health condition may heighten feelings of loneliness. Misunderstandings surrounding mental health issues can make it difficult to communicate openly, further increasing the risk of social isolation.
Prolonged loneliness can adversely affect your mental health and is linked to an increased risk of conditions such as depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, sleep disturbances, and heightened stress. To help combat these feelings, we offer a Befriending Service dedicated to supporting individuals experiencing social isolation or loneliness.
Help and Wellbeing Assistants
Our compassionate Help and Wellbeing Assistants are here to spend time with you, whether in person or over the phone. Whether it's enjoying a leisurely walk with a dog, sharing a meal at a café, or participating in other social activities, our goal is to provide companionship and support. You're never alone with our befriending service; we're here to offer friendship and connection when you need it most.

Advocacy Support Service (Appointments and Meetings)
We all understand how frustrating it can be when we feel unheard. Unfortunately, for those experiencing mental health challenges, it can sometimes be even more difficult for their opinions and ideas to be taken seriously. This situation can be particularly challenging when interacting with health and social care professionals, who may not always fully involve you in decisions regarding your care or present all the options available to you.
Advocacy is about receiving support from another person to help you articulate your views and wishes while standing up for your rights. The individual assisting you in this capacity is known as your advocate. The specific role of an advocate varies based on your unique situation and the type of support you need, but their primary purpose is to uphold your choices.
Having an advocate can be especially beneficial during meetings when you may feel uncertain about expressing yourself. They can:
- Assist you in asking all the questions you would like to raise.
- Ensure all the topics you wish to discuss are addressed during the meeting.
- Clarify your options without imposing their personal opinions.
- Help create a safe environment for you during the meeting; for instance, if you find the discussion distressing, your advocate can request a break until you feel ready to continue.
Our Help and Wellbeing Assistants are available to attend appointments and meetings with you in the role of an advocate, ensuring your voice is heard and your preferences are prioritized.
